I think you highlighted one of my main problems - the Wacom tablet I've got is quite big (A4 sized.) and I have to move things around to use it. With a smaller one I could pick it up quickly. Looking somewhere else from where you are drawing IS weird ...at first. BTW there are much less expensive (but still great quality) tablets other than Wacom on the market. In England you can get Trust brand tablets at a fraction of what the Wacoms cost. I have two Trust tablets that my cousins brought me from Reading when they came to visit, since i was unable to buy them here. (I live in British Columbia, Canada) One tablet is 6x8" and one is 9X12" i have to say, I've actually ended up preferring the smaller 6x8' because it fits nicely on my desk beside my keyboard and you don't have to move your whole arm around while drawing. I never did draw "big" anyway. The Trust tablets are also marketed under the name Aiptek in some countries (usa for one) They're the exact same. http://www.trust.com/search/default.aspx?search=tablets Check them out i am sure you'll be surprised at how much less they cost, and replacement pens are only 10 us dollars! I've had customers in the states mail me replacement Aiptek pens--they're identical to Trust I have been very happy with the tablets.
