At the weekend I saw an old friend who I hadn’t seen for years. We’re both 56 and I asked him if he was still working for the company he’d been working for since he left school. To my amazement he said he’s been retired three years! He’s taken a redundancy package and was now doing what he wanted – day in day out! Nice life I thought – but later I realised I’d probably never retire from drawing cartoons. I’ll probably pick and chose my projects – but I love drawing cartoons so much I’ll NEVER fully retire. And here’s a quote that backs my thoughts for the future up..
