‘Home Helper Robot’ but as you can see this came to an abrupt end.

I ‘tried’ to pay off my credit card bills at the weekend – then decided I’d pay a bit of them off when I saw the size of them, it inspired this cartoon…

Cartoons for Craft Creations!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

This was something a little different that I did for Craft Creations last year. Drawing cartoons to be used as découpage prints. I worked on football/soccer, golf, tennis and lawn bowls designs and below are a couple of examples…(They did the layouts!)

The new Life Smiles die-cut 3D découpage prints are a fun addition to our great range of creative papers.
These five sheets come with one design on each and are ready to simply press out and layer using either
sticky foam pads or silicone adhesive.

All sheets are supplied unpacked. The illustrations are shown much smaller than actual size, each sheet is
A4 size. Layouts may vary slightly from the illustrations shown. 150gsm, acid and lignin free paper.

A friend emailed me this today – I thought it was really amusing. Where do they think them up?

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

1. Trevor Adams, my assistant programmer, can always be found
2. hard at work at his desk.Trevor works independently, without
3. wasting company time talking to colleagues.Trevor never
4. thinks twice about assisting fellow employees, and he always
5. finishes given assignments on time.Often he takes extended
6. measures to complete his work, sometimes skipping coffee
7. breaks.Trevor is an individual who has absolutely no
8. vanity in spite of his high accomplishments and profound
9. knowledge in his field. I firmly believe that Trevor can be
10. classed as a high-calibre employee, the type that cannot be
11. dispensed with.Consequently, I truly recommend that Trevor be
12. promoted to executive management, and a proposal will be
13. executed as soon as possible.

Addendum. The idiot was watching over my shoulder while I wrote this report.

Kindly re-read only the odd numbered lines.

How much for a domain name!?!?

Posted by: | Comments (0)

I recently enquired about the domain name www.cartoonstudio.com as I have the .co.uk and .biz versions. Here’s the reply I got…

Thank you for your inquiry.
Please be advised that the current owner of the domain name does not really sell many names.
However, if you wish to pursue the purchase of the domain, the current registrant has advised us we can forward offers $100,000.00 USD or higher to determine if they want to consider the offer.

$100,000.00! Looks like I’ll have to stick with what I’ve got unless I have a multi-million lottery win!

money How much for a domain name!?!?

I have loadsa money - let me buy a .com domain name!

At least no other cartoonist will be able to afford it either – if they wanted it!?

I don’t usually meet clients at home – but in this case the client was local to me and popped in to my house to discuss a caricature job.(I work from home now – I did have a studio in town for about 12 years.) My dog Jet couldn’t resist being in on the meeting while the lady in question was briefing me for three caricatures.

The embarrassing thing was – Jet kept dropping stinkers!jetfarting Most embarrassing client meeting!

How embarrassing was this?

Luckily she saw the funny side of it – Jet got booted out of the meeting and I did go onto complete the three caricatures!

You guessed it – I won’t be conducting any more client meetings at home!
