‘MOVING’ postcard cartoon!
Posted by: | CommentsToday I got commissioned to do a ‘Moving card’ and remember doing one a few Christmasses ago that I could show them as a progress model.
This is the sketch I did while actually talking to them on the phone.(I’ve tidied my scribbled text so you could read it!)
I then did a more detailed sketch to email the client…
They were very pleased with this and asked me to proceed to a colour visual…
Promotional postcard sent out to old clients!
Posted by: | CommentsThis cartoon was definitely a pre-computer one. Good old fashioned pen, ink and watercolour. At the time I had just lost a very good client who had kept me busy for over a year. I had neglected most of my old clients so decided to drum up some work by letting everyone know I was available for commissions. This is when I used to send out postcards/stuff in the mail to get new clients. How times have changed!
Viagra for business postcard cartoon!
Posted by: | CommentsHi,
I’ve drawn cartoons for Ray Fox for over ten years. Ray prints them up onto postcards and hand writes messages onto them to clients and prospects. He started off years ago at a print run of 250, then it went to 500 and then 1000. Now ten years later his print runs are 15,000! He must be doing something right with his marketing! He usually send these out once every three months to keep his name out there in front of everyone. I’m reliably informed that these still out perform emails. People still love to receive snail mail!
Here’s one of the first ones ever – just when Viagra was coming onto the scene.
