Archive for Web cartoons

I don’t usually meet clients at home – but in this case the client was local to me and popped in to my house to discuss a caricature job.(I work from home now – I did have a studio in town for about 12 years.) My dog Jet couldn’t resist being in on the meeting while the lady in question was briefing me for three caricatures.

The embarrassing thing was – Jet kept dropping stinkers!JetFarting

How embarrassing was this?

Luckily she saw the funny side of it – Jet got booted out of the meeting and I did go onto complete the three caricatures!

You guessed it – I won’t be conducting any more client meetings at home!

The below cartoon video was produced with Gary Ryan Blair of The Goals Guy. Gary emailed me the audio file and I listened to this and jotted down ideas, then drew up all the cartoons to suit the script and emailed them back to him. There was some going backwards and forwards before we got all the cartoons right. It was something new for me to work on and was very challenging. A very enjoyable project!

“Through the use of fun, entertaining and educational cartoon videos on your website you can generate massive leads, explode your sales and gain far reaching publicity for your business or cause.  I know first hand the power and impact of online marketing videos created by my friend and colleague Richard Duszczak of the Cartoon Studio.”  Gary Ryan Blair

Cartoon Map for aMaizin Theme Park!

I did this cartoon map some months ago for Kristina at aMaizin theme park in Jersey Channel Isles, it was very challenging but satisfying…

Here’s Kristina’s comments on satisfactory completion….

Brilliant!
It is always difficult to capture the essence of an attraction,
especially with only photographs for reference! The Cartoon Studio
worked diligently to achieve what we wanted, interpreting our ideas and
adding character and emphasis. From an initial enquiry to completion,
the whole project was handled extremely professionally and I expect to
use The Cartoon Studio for many future projects. Well done!

Best wishes for the future!!

Kristina

I got Richard Duszczak of Cartoon Studio Limited
to create the main graphic for my website.

Your Marketing Machine

Your Marketing Machine

His work is exceptional.
I’ve had clients and peer group all say how fitting,
suitable and  excellent his graphic/cartoon is.
Richard responded so quickly to alterations,
sometimes within hours of the request.
His characters are lively and good humoured.
I would recommend him to anybody for graphic work.

Hi Richard,
I have just built a small UK business website and am considering using a cartoon on our homepage to really illustrate what we do.  I would be able to sketch out a few stick characters to explain the flow of what I’m imagining and could roughly indicate the appearance of the characters. Here’s our existing web page…

Wordzworth web page

Wordzworth web page

My initial thoughts are that of a single shot involving say three business characters sitting at a table each with a thought or speech bubble.  I would probably want the image to look fairly businesslike and not overly humorous.

From the looks of your website this looks to be exactly the sort of thing you do.
However I have two questions before drawing anything up…

What would be the approximate price for this kind of image?
We’re a very small upstart business and I want to make sure we can afford the expense.

How quickly could you knock something like this up?
We’re hoping to have our website completed within the next week so deadlines are pretty tight.  If such a short timescale affects the price, please adjust accordingly.
Many Thanks for your time!!
Kelly

Here’s the finished cartoon..

Have a look at the finished piece in place on Kelly’s web site…http://www.wordzworth.com

And the kind things she said about the Cartoon Studio…

Richard is both extremely talented and provides excellent customer service.
Every question was answered thoroughly, all comments were taken on board and turnaround time was incredibly fast.
He has transformed the Wordzworth homepage and I would highly recommend him to anyone!
Thanks again for doing such a top job!
Kelly.

American Marketing Guru's Ryder Cup Team

American Marketing Guru's Ryder Cup Team

Leading UK Marketer Sean McPheat appreciates the power of using cartoons and brand positioning. For a recent “BUZZ MARKETING CAMPAIGN” Sean spoofed a fictitious Internet Marketing Ryder Cup competition and asked me to draw the teams for him. The result? Well, it created a buzz around the internet and Sean’s site had over 10,000 additional clicks from it and 2,000 sign ups to his newsletter. Now that’s branding!
